The Comprehensive Planning Committee has been restructured to allow for representation from the Town Planning Board, Town Board and residents within the Town of Hartwick.
The Town of Hartwick Town Board has appointed 11 members to the Comprehensive Planning Committee and has charged them with updating the Town's Comprehsive Plan. The Committee will work with the consulting firm of Clough-Harbour Associates to develop a revised plan. At the conclusion of the planning process, which will include extensive opportunity for input from the community, the Committee will present the final plan and recommendations to the Town Board. The Town Board will be responsible for final consideration and adoption. The entire process is expected to take 9 to 12 months.
The Comprehensive Planning Committee includes one representative from the Town Board, one representative from the Planning Board, and nine residents from within the Town. The Town Board selected these individuals based on their areas of interest, background and geographic location within the Town. Representatives have a mix of backgrounds including (but not limited to): agriculture, business and economics, environment, sociology, planning, emergency services, and education. The following individuals are members of the Comprehensive Planning Committee: Dave Butler (TB), Alex Thomas (PB), Sandy Austin, Mike Basile, Jessica Breiten, Cliff Brunner, Katherine Gannon, Tim West, Nate Ingalls, Lee Robbins, and Andre' Conklin.
The first meeting of the Comprehensive Planning Committee was February 16, 2009. The Town Board encourages ALL other residents within the Town to participate in the upcoming meetings of the Committee. The dates of future meetings will be posted on the website.
